The original daiquiri cocktail was invented right around the advent of the 20th century, probably around 1902. It's incredibly simple, wonderfully delicious, and nothing like the frozen abomination of the same name that's popular on beaches and on Bourbon street. The thing I love most about this drink? It's perfect year round. In the summer it's refreshing and in the winter citrus is at its peak. Plus, it's great for Passover, too.
